BOMs may be an unlimited number of levels deep and can be displayed in flat or indented form. In ibusiness™ the item master file, routings and bills are tightly integrated and you may keep related windows open on-screen simultaneously. No more backing out of the item master to view a bill of material and then back again. Drill down to view the parts of a single lower level assembly or load a fully indented BOM right on screen, ibusiness™ does both with ease. A BOM can also be printed with or without costs with a click of the mouse. Comments fields for both the header and each item in the BOM allow you to maintain extensive manufacturing instructions right in the BOM itself where it is most useful. We also support revision tracking, allowing you to track the history of each BOM. See the revision control specification sheet for more information. Product costing is integrated as well with costs being automatically maintained and rolled up through the BOMs. A major revision affecting numerous items in many BOM's is not a problem for ibusiness™ which automatically calculates the new cost for all affected BOMs. Creating a new product family with many similar bills of material? Simply use our cloning utility and then change each clone as required. Routings are integrated right into the BOM itself so you can easily view all of the labor steps associated with building the product. There is no limit on the number of routing steps.
